Our new record "Spark Large" was released on U & L Records August 5, 2008. You can now find it at a bunch of online stores.

    Spark Large

Marching Band is an indie rock band based in Linköping, Sweden. In 2008, their first full-length album Spark Large was recorded and highlights the bands one of a kind indie pop sound. While the group does use the mainstay rock sounds of guitars, drums and bass guitar, they also employ an array of more eccentric musical instruments for a indie pop band, such as xylophone, marimba, banjo, vibraphone and unique vocal harmonies.
Swedish duo MARCHING BAND continue to land in playlists around the globe as the digital release of their debut SPARK LARGE nears. The critically lauded album features an eclectic mix of instrumentation that delivers sweet atmospheric folk and indie-pop. The album will be released digitally on Tuesday, August 5 from U&L Records.
This week, MARCHING BAND debuted on the CMJ radio charts at 68 with more than 24 stations now charting spins. The band quickly gained early radio support in Los Angeles when tracks from the new album surfaced on KCRW and INDIE 103.1. Since then, Marching Band has been put into rotation at radio nationwide including a recent NPR "World Cafe" feature and adds in New York, Boston, Seattle, Chicago, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, St. Louis, Philadelphia and beyond.

MARCHING BAND's publisher Urband & Lazar Music Publishing have also confirmed the band's inclusion in another upcoming motion picture: Nick And Nora's Infinite Playlist (Sony Pictures). The band's song "TRUST YOUR STOMACH" will be featured on the soundtrack and in the upcoming film that stars Michael Cera and also includes music from Vampire Weekend, Band Of Horses, Modest Mouse, The National, Mark Mothersbaugh and more.
